Australia Day Fireworks presented by the Queensland Government
South Bank reach of the Brisbane River

7.30pm -7:40pm
The skies above South Bank explode with a 10-minute change as required fireworks display. The fireworks will be set to a stirring soundtrack that celebrates Australian culture, in the Smart State.

The traditional Woggan-ma-gule Ceremony marks the official start of the Australia Day celebrations. It takes place on the sacred sites of the native Gadigal people: Sydney’s traditional landowners.

Victoria
Australia Day Voyages Concert & Fireworks

FREE EVENT
The concert will lift off with a re-enactment of the Aboriginal Dreamtime story of “How the Yarra River was Created”. The Nyet Nyet Bunyips, Bunjil the eagle hawk and supreme God of the Wurundjeri people, indigenous performers and the Spontaneous Choir, a strong 120 voice choir, will create vocalisations and a mosaic depicting images of the Australian landscape and Aboriginal mythology.
Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Melbourne Town Hall
Be part of the official Flag Raising ceremony as John Landy, AC MBE, Governor of Victoria, delivers the Australia Day Address and officiates as the National Flag is raised. This formal Australia Day ceremony includes a Service Guard of Honour and the RAAF Band. At 12noon there will be a flypast by the RAAF F18s depending on availability and weather conditions.
